Ten years on the road for this Leicestershire Americana band who always bring their hot mix of Country, Bluegrass, Cajun and other American good time “roots” music to any party. With a great collection of covers and original songs, including twanging guitars, electric fiddle, banjo, wailing harmonica, three vocalists and a rockin’ backline of bass and drums they’ll get your fingers snapping and your feet tapping.
Southern Frontier
Southern Frontier perform classic and modern Country favourites, as well as transforming well known Pop & Rock tunes with a dreamy Southern twang! Southern frontier’s current repertoire includes songs from Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, Chris Stapleton and Shania Twain, to name a few. So dust off your cowboy hat and boots and party like there’s a bounty on your head when Southern Frontier are in town.
The Matt Keneson Band
Formed in 2017, the Matt Keneson Band plays original alt-country music inspired by the likes of Jason Isbell, John Prine, Kris Kristopherson, Steve Earle, and Townes Van Zandt. Matt’s songs have catchy chorus hooks and lyrically explore the emotions and experiences of love, life, happiness, and loss. Their first album, Rusty Old Pickup, released by the band in 2018, was very well received by audiences. The band is currently working on new material for a second album.
Leannán
The name Leannán, derived from the Gaelic word for beloved or lovers, is well chosen for the real-life couple Amy Gray and Stephen Jones, who definitely wear their heart on their musical sleeve. Their chemistry is palpable as they take listeners on a melodic journey through a range of eclectic genres. Inspired by a blend of country, singer songwriter, folk, and Americana, Leannán perfectly balances interwoven vocal harmonies with mesmerising acoustic guitar to create their own magical story that will leave you wanting more.
